Ora entro e gli do i miei consigli, poi gli dico di passare pure di qua.

E' lui. E farò di tutto per portarvelo qui.ddr97 ha scritto:sicuro che non è un fake?
Arabic is the next language to come onboard on social for Roma - Facebook and Twitter.
Japanese is not on the radar just yet - but thanks for the advice, I will look into it.
Regarding the actual website, upon launch it will be Italian and English versions - with Indonesian, Chinese and Arabic to follow first.
Regarding content for younger fans, that's definitely on the to-do list and the team are working on a number of projects in this area. Barcelona have the biggest media team in the world of any football club - so it's hard to compete in certain areas but hopefully we can be creative and work with passionate fans to take our own unique path.
Point 1: Regarding more engagement and a community feel, the new website should have commenting functionality on everything. The idea is to be even more open and engaging - of course fans want to share their opinions. I'm certainly pushing this - but to be fair, Jim Pallotta is not exactly shy when it comes to hearing fan opinion - as his last Twitter interview proved. So comments are in (until, we go on a bad run, everyone kicks off and I get sacked!)
Point 2: You want more news and features. So do I. If amount of content produced each day / week doesn't increase X 5, I'll consider the site a failure. May not happen on Day 1, I'll accept X3 at the start but should be X5 within months. The team and myself have been working to increase - even a little bit - the amount of content produced since February but the site is not really suited to fast-paced content. That will change with new site. I may need to decrease amount of content between now and new site launch to make a bigger impact!
Point 3: We aim to launch a couple of new video initiatives later this year - series-style content and also more traditional football stuff - training clips, interviews, action etc. It's not really my area - as the Roma TV team look after it - but it will definitely be part of what we do going forward.

Man City, Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are the best for video, in my opinion. There are various reasons for this - size of media team, financial resources available, maturity of operation, business model, sponsor set-up and access to players. All things Roma needs to work on.

Improving news coverage - and actually generating our own news - is priority.
Video subscription service - as least outside of Italy, due to certain rights - is priority. However, due to the way that rights are distributed collectively in Serie A - as they are in the EPL - no club can show live games. These are sold for billions of Euros to broadcasters.
However, for fans like yourself, live coverage is less of an issue on occasion - as it's at an unsocial time. The aim is to create a video platform - integrated into the site - that offers up video-on-demand content as soon as the rights allows.

Crest / Changes? This is before my time at Roma so I'm using that get out of jail card! However, what I will say is that it's my understanding that that Roma crest have changed at least 8 times - possibly 11 or 13, I am not sure - since 1927. Having worked in football for a long time and also being a football fan, I would say many fans are resistent to change - sometimes rightfully so - it's our prerogative as fans to be passionate about things. However, I'd like to hope that any change is made with the sole intention of helping the club grow - and this is a thought process behind them. It's not change for change sake. Sometimes these decisions will be popular with the majority, sometimes they will be unpopular. However, sometimes it's better to try and consider the bigger picture and the vision of where we want to get to in the end - even if there is some short-term pain or bumps in the road along the way. Barcelona never had a shirt sponsor. That has changed. Arsenal left Highbury. The Kop used to be standing. That has changed. That changed. Manchester United used to have football club in their crest. That has changed.
I'm not suggesting mistakes are not made from time to time and bad decisions are never taken - I'm also not suggesting fans shouldn't be passionate about things they care about - but I will say, where we want to be in 10 years is probably more important than where we are now. The club acting in as transparent a way as possible - which I certainly think it does more than nearly any club I can think of - is a step in the right direction.
